June 30, 2015

On Saturday, July 4th, the United States of America will celebrate its 239th Independence Day. To observe this holiday the Embassy will be closed on Friday, July 3rd. On the Fourth of July, U.S. citizens celebrate the freedoms and democracy they enjoy and honor the patriots who declared their independence from colonial rule in 1776.

Due to the current security situation in Burundi, the U.S. Embassy has postponed its Annual Independence Day celebration until further notice.
