This message is in follow-up to the information session on the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) held at the U.S. Embassy in Bujumbura on July 12, 2019.  The Embassy continues to monitor the EVD outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).  To date, there have been no cases reported in Burundi or Rwanda.  There have been four cases in Goma and one case in Uganda.  The Embassy urges you to remain aware of the symptoms of Ebola and to take appropriate cautions if you decide to travel to the DRC.
