December 3 was International Day of People with Disabilities, a fitting occasion for the United States to reaffirm its commitment and support for full inclusion of persons with disabilities in daily life of the community. Each individual must have an equal opportunity to develop his or her unique talents and must be free to pursue their dreams. The U.S. Embassy Burundi supported the Paralympics Committee by bringing people with disabilities together through sports to have fun and create a better future for themselves.
